I wasn’t sure how to go about it. When I found Cottage Copy I immediately loved Holly’s writing style. I tend to be quiet and making phone calls is hard for me, but Holly was really easy to talk to and she guided me through the process with her intuitive questions. She made it feel like I was just calling a friend. Holly delivers exactly what she promises. The best news is that within a day of posting her copy I had a sale and my sales have been growing ever since. It is such a relief to know that I just needed a little help in the writing department.
I definitely recommend Holly if you need copywriting!

Hi, I’m Jennifer, and I run The Artison. The story of the business began long ago and far away back in 2008, when…
I got laid off.
Not the most auspicious beginning, I admit. Especially as it was right before election day, which just seemed like some kind of sign. But, I did what every good worker bee does. I looked for another job.
While I was looking, I immersed myself in taking care of my two kids. It was fun, and I loved being home with them. When no jobs appeared, I kept looking harder. In the meantime, I gradually re-discovered my intense love of embroidery and fabric. Around the same time, I re-discovered my husband’s artwork, and realized that maybe he had different kinds of dreams too.
I started a business.
The Artison was more than just a filler job. Even when I was 16, I’d dreamed of owning a business. I didn’t know what, but I just knew I was meant to do it. Suddenly, it all fell into place.
My incredible passion for embroidery.
Matt’s beautiful artwork.
My degree and professional background in graphic design.
My intense desire to make a difference in the world.
The Artison was born, and we’ve been going strong since.
So who am I?
Like I said, my name is Jennifer. I live in Illinois, which is about as cold as you think it is during the winter. I am warmed by my husband and two children, who have never been anything less than supportive of me (even when I thought I might be crazy). I’ve got a degree in graphic design, which I’m now putting to good use.
In my free time, I foster dogs for the Castaway Pet Rescue. We’ve helped ten dogs since last year. When I’m not chasing around foster dogs, I’m chasing after my kids.
I’ve done some extremely adventurous things (other than start a business)! I’ve been on an Outward Bound Leadership Training course: It required living on boat for ten days, hiking for 12 more, and then 3 days of solo meditation. I’ve felt much tougher ever since.
Want to get in touch with me? I’m easy to catch on email here, or you can try my Twitter or Facebook.

Quick, think of your favorite food. The one that you crave when you have a bad day, or the one your mother taught you to make on that rainy Saturday afternoon. Can you smell it? Take a deep breath, and think about what you feel.
Comfort.
At six26studio, we believe that great food is like great design. Great food can turn strangers into raving fans in a minute or less; a fantastic logo produces the same results. So what happens when you put both together? Well, the answer is pretty easy.

We produce designs that respect and respond to your ideals. We know that you want branding that is not only consistent and fresh, but personal and passionate. We know you love food, and we’re ready to show that off to the world.

The greatest superheroes aren’t the ones who get bitten by a spider, or come from an alien planet. Sure, they’re cool, but their powers came to them. By day, mild mannered Rachael Acklin runs a thriving design business.
She does paperwork, she’s a whiz with contracts, and she markets like a pro. By night, she becomes The Caffeinated Elf, caped crusader of smart and stylish design; she amazes clients one design concept at a time.
Starting now, she’s looking for some great sidekicks to join her in the Elfcave. Are you up to the challenge?

“We put up two listings for the same product initially: one had my old copy, and one had her new copy. The listing with her new copy sold the next day, when the same product had been up in my store for months with no results! Needless to say, I was impressed. She also did way more than just copy for me; she motivated me to get my shop and other websites in proper order because she cared.
“In addition, she’s great to work with. She’s fun, friendly, and really values your ideas and feedback. In short, she’s awesome.”
